My values
-
01. Mindset shift
when dealing with a problem or even speaking about a certain topic, one always comes to the table with their point of view. Some are open to hearing from others, some are focused on their idea or point of view being the right one, or even in cases, they think their decisions are always wrong. I focus on the participants keeping an open mind to allow a shift in their mindset. As the session/workshop progresses the clear mind recognizes space for growth.
-
02. Real Problems
Always begin by understanding from leadership what skill sets they think they along with their employees should possess and then we work towards developing those skills with my toolsets.
-
03. Storytelling and connections
I take a practical approach to the problems the client is facing in real-time or is less tangible and can be something that they can work towards. This function is key, it allows the employees to develop and build it into the way they approach problems.
-
04. Human-to-human
Consider the experience of all the people affected by the service and experience. While collaborating with various stakeholders backgrounds and functions should be actively engaged in the service design process.
-
05. Scaling Capabilities
To focus on scaling everything that is learned in the session, to ensure that other employees can learn these skills so that the workforce is collectively better moving forward.
-
06. Leadership alignment
In very simple terms a leadership team is aligned when all members of the teamwork in sync to accomplish a common purpose. More specifically, an aligned leadership team debates well, proactively supports each other, is laser-focused on what is most important, and is committed to learning and improving.
70/30 portfolio career.
I spend 70% of my time working with large organisations to tackle complex issues. The rest of my time (30%) is spent working with unrepresented startups founders, mentoring future designers and supporting social causes.
I write, talk, live and inspire all things creative, specializing in business models, ecosystems, and co-innovation. My expertise lies in the cross-section of human-centered design, technology, and open innovation.
